The Mayor of Royal Greenwich opens new playground

Councillor  Mick Hayes, The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, accompanied by his wife Gillian, visited school on 12 November to open our fantastic new playground.

On a beautiful sunny Autumnal morning, the school were delighted to welcome The Mayor to cut the ribbon to officially declare that the new facility was ready to be enjoyed by all our pupils after many years of waiting. The old playground has been completely re-surfaced and divided up into two distinct areas for the students to use. On one side is an enclosed MUGA where there are courts for basketball, netball, tennis, hockey and  6-a-side football, and on the other side a large space for relaxing and sitting with two outside classrooms. There is also a marked running track for pupils to race around.

We are delighted with this brilliant new development and sure that all of our students will benefit from it for many years to come. We can now properly promote fitness and well-being to the full.
