Riverston Nursery & Early Years Department operates a morning, afternoon or a full day programme for children aged 9 months to 4 years old.  Full time hours are from 8.00am until 6.00pm, Monday to Friday for 50 weeks of the year.

Part time sessions are available for 50 weeks of the year and are for 4 hours per day only.  Children can attend for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week on this basis.

Term time only attendance is possible and this is for 5 days, Monday to Friday between 8.45am and 3.30pm, similar to the main school hours.

We follow the national Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

The day begins with a free play session where the children are encouraged to use a variety of equipment and resources.  Each room in the Early Years department has a computer, role play area, sand and water facilities and an easel for the children to enjoy free art activities.

The timetable also offers many physical activities; the children enjoy regular trips to the park, movement to music, sport and gymnastic sessions, and access to Riverston School’s own Forest School.
