Summer Garden Party 9 July

Our Summer Garden Party, to take place on Friday 9th July will be a combined event, to raise funds for the charity Dementia UK, and for parents to visit to say farewell to beloved staff members who are leaving us at the end of this academic year.

Weather depending, all pupils (from Year 7 up) will receive an al-fresco, picnic-style lunch on the playground, during their usual allotted lunch time. Pupils are encouraged to wear an item of magenta and/or turquoise clothing, the official colours of Dementia UK, for a £2 donation. During their morning form time, pupils will also learn about dementia and the fantastic work Dementia UK do to support people with dementia and their families.

After all pupils have eaten and returned to afternoon lessons, from 2-3pm, we are inviting parents to join available staff for tea, coffee, cake and live music. There will also be a raffle taking place to further raise funds for Dementia UK and tickets will be available to purchase in the coming weeks. Any donations for the raffle would be greatly appreciated.

In order that we can cater for this exciting event, and ensure we maintain safe social distancing requirements, if you would like to attend, please do complete the R.S.V.P slip that was sent home with pupils return to the school office before Friday 18th June.

We have also created an online fundraising page on Just Giving as a way to collect the funds we raise for Dementia UK. If you would like to make a direct donation, the link to find this page can be found here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/riverston-school-dementiauk

Thank you in advance for your support of what we hope will be a wonderful event.
